View Full Version : Licensing System / Members' Area Changes

As some of you may have already noticed, we have updated our products system and Members' Area here just a bit. The main change that you may notice is that you will now receive an actual license in the Members' Area when following the links to download the CMPS. This should make things a bit easier for our customers as you will no longer have to go through the ordering system when downloading new versions after you have done so for the first time.

Before adding a new license to purchase/download a product, you are also now asked to supply a URL for all products. In addition to helping us to keep track of what sites are installing vBa CMPS, this will also help us in providing support since will have your URL on file and shouldn't have to ask for you to post it in a support thread. For those concerned about privacy, please rest assured that your URL will not be seen by anyone besides vBadvanced staff members, nor will we share this information with any 3rd parties.

The last change worth mentioning is a new 'Allow Public Display' setting for licenses. If you go to the Members' Area and click the 'Edit License Details' link next to one of your licenses, you will see this setting at the bottom of the page. At some point, hopefully in the not-too-distant future, we will be updating our products system to show some example/featured sites for each product, and possibly options for a larger public list. If you would like for your web site(s) to be considered for any of these, please edit any licenses through the Members' Area here and turn this option on. Note that this option is set to 'No' by default for any current and new licenses in order to respect our customers privacy.

First view (besides you) - I'll go update my licenses now. :)

Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the next CMPS update!

I would like to use the same system for my forum.
From where I can get it?

Sorry, but it's custom software and not available for resale.

Quick question. I just logged in after about a year and a half away to find that I no longer have access to vbAdvanced portal or the gallery. Were they one year licenses or something? I still have the original tarballs I downloaded from here on my drive if there's something in there that will help.

The product "vBadvanced CMPS" is a free product available to anyone. A fresh copy can be download from the front page if there is not currently a free license associated with your account. If you previously purchased a branding free license and it is not showing under your account please submit a Support Ticket with the PayPal details so that it can be investigated.

The product "vBadvanced Gallery" was sold to AEI a few years ago and is now named "PhotoPost vBGallery" and is available from the PhotoPost (http://www.photopost.com) site. Any and all questions regarding either the old vBa product or the new PP product can only be address at the PhotoPost support forums.
