I like the way the file sharing demo looks, I have been playing around with dynamics for a day and a half and can't seem to get it to look like that. Could you give me some pointers.

Here are some of the main options that should concern you...

Main Index Page Options => Enable Members' Categories
That one I believe is enabled by default, but disabled on our files demo. Disable that if you do not want the list of members who have submitted an entry on your Dynamics main page.

Browse Category Options => Use Expanded Entrybit Template
Make sure that option is set to 'No' in order to get the more condensed list of entries like you see in our files demo.

Show Entry Options => Position of Attachments
I don't think that one was changed from the default in our demo, but that will allow you to change where attachments are displayed.

Add/Edit Entries Options => Attachment Box Location
That one you will probably want to change to either 'Above Message' or 'Below Message' so that the attachment box will be a little more prominent.

Attachment Options => Require Attachments With Entries
I'm assuming you would want at least one file attached with each entry if it's going to be geared towards file sharing, so that should probably be changed to 1 or higher if you want to require more.

That should cover most of the main settings that would be used to set things up for file sharing. If there's anything I missed or anything else you have a question about though just let us know.

Thanks, that is great.

A few things.
I have a few test files on my server already, so when I create an article I check off the box for upload via FTP and it shows the file(s) and their correct sizes.
I submit the article.
I try to download the the file (PDF)...
1. it adds a bunch of random numbers after the file which when you try to open the file it looks like it is corrupted.
2. It doesn't download anything, it just puts the place marker on your PC of 0 bytes.

Is their a setting that I am missing? I would like to think I am pretty fluent with your product as I own your links system and run CMPS.
I check and double checked everything I can think of.

Nevermind...it was my PC at work. I had someone outside of my office try it and they said it worked.
Is there anyway that when I upload via FTP to select the file as I have dozens of files on the server and I don't want to keep hitting remove for everyone

Sorry, but currently there is not an option for that.

OK, No problem.
One more question....when I click remove does it remove them from the server or just the article?

The 'Remove' button will remove the info from the database as well as the physical file from the server.
