Make sure the module is active, and set the poll options listed under your default settings.

Hello Brian,
My forum is new. I have zero posts. it asks for the ID number of my polls forum. What is that?
Do I create a forum just for polls? and where would I get the ID from. If so, how can I make the forum for polls active but not show up on my main forum?
Sorry for all the questions but this mod is what I've been waiting for.

OK,
I got the poll to set up and working.
I set the forum as non active because I didn't want it showing up on the forum index page. Will I have to set it active each time I want to make a new poll or is there a way around this?

Set the permissions of the forum to Admin only.

Set the permissions of the forum to Admin only.
Do you mean:
Post New Poll = Admin Only
Reply = All/registered
...?

Yes. Then you would be the only one allowed to post new polls

Ok thanks... just a quick one here - how do you make a poll remain on the page such as the one here on vba.com...?

Set it not to expire and don't create another poll.

Set it not to expire and don't create another poll.
... hmmm.... but what if I also want to display other polls in another module...?

I just saw the answer to that in another thread in this forum.
You can set the poll not to expire in the forum manager.
