I thought perhaps those wondering how Dynamics can be used on their site might find this useful.
We are a site that caters to 2nd Amendment rights advocates, hunters and firearms enthusiasts in the state of Tennessee. We had been looking for a simple way to provide several databases to our members, and Dynamics allowed us to do just that.
Using Dynamics, we currently host three member-driven databases that keep track of public shooting ranges, gun shops and private properties that have elected to prohibit licensed handgun carry permit holders from bringing their firearms onto said properties.
You can see our Dynamics index page here: LINK (http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/)
You can see an entry in the shooting ranges category here: LINK (http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=6&catid=4)
You can see an entry in the gun shops category here: LINK (http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=2&catid=3)
You can see an entry in the carry prohibited category here: LINK (http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=20&catid=2)
As you can see, each category shares some common fields and also has a few fields that are specific to that particular category. All of this was easily set up through the Dynamics control panel. I did do a little basic customization of the templates that displays the information, but it's nothing beyond the skill of a vBulletin administrator with moderate to advanced understanding of the templates system.
Our members also love the fact that they can search on these common and specific fields. For example, a member might want a list of all gun shops in a particular County or City/Town. Searching based on that criteria is very easy. :)
We're very pleased with Dynamics and consider the purchase price money very well spent. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a flexible database system that integrates with vBulletin.
