I've been using phpBB and InvisionBoard for the last 2 years and decided to take the vBulletin plunge.

I want to have vBAdvanced CMPS as the default index.php page.

My domain name is seforums.com. Where should I install the vBulletin script and vBadvanced CMPS?

I don't care where I install the vBulletin script; either the /root directory or any other directories ex.. /forums, /board, etc.

Thanks,

Mike

I installed vb in /forum and CMPS in the root.

It doesn't really matter. If you just have forums then you may want to just install vBulletin in your root directory. Personally though I would install it in a /forums directory since I always have more to my sites than just forums. ;)

can they be both in /root directory and then rename some files?

I want to show the vBAdvanced CPMS on the main index page (index.php) & don't want to create /forum directory as my domain name already contains the word "forums" (ex. I don't want to have www.seforums.com/forums/ or www.seforums.com/board, etc

I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear.

Anyways, any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Yes, they can both be in the root. There are instructions posted in this thread (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25) on how to do exactly what you are asking. :)
