Browse Category Module

Lets say I have the following categories:

Cars
- Mercedes
- BMW
- Volvo

The question is regarding the "What's new" module. By default it is showing new entries from all categories. This is okay on the front page of dynamics.

But if I am within e.g. the Mercedes category it still shows entries from all categories - where I would like to show only Mercedes entries.

I made a copy of the module - so I had a Mercedes "Whats new" module supposed only to collect Mercedes entries.

But the problem is that the Browse Category module is only within the "edit module layouts" and not also within the "edit modules" which does that I am not able to copy the Browse Category module to a "Mercedes Browse Category" module.

Is it possible some how to copy the Browse Category module - so I can give each category their own "Whats new" module and thereby restrict what entries to be showed?

There's not an option for that currently, but I'll make sure that's worked into RC2.

I have upgraded to RC2 - I am sorry - but I am not able to find this option. Is this correct? I hope it will part of RC3 then as it is a vital feature in order to fully exploit the What's New module... :)

If you edit the settings for the module through the Admin CP, you should see a new one called 'Limit to Specific Category if Applicable'. Turn that on and it should limit the entries to the category you're viewing.
