I've been looking at vBadvanced Dynamics for a while now.

Whilst I'm sure it's a fantastic product and the support every bit as good as vBadvanced, I'm still not sure how it actually works. The examples don't really make much sense to me, because at the end of the day they're just examples and don't really show it working in the real world. Is there an example of it working on a site, that people actually use?

The reason I ask is because I've been looking at vBadvanced Dynamics and also ReviewPost PHP Pro.

This is what I want to do...

We have a list of motorcycle products (about 1700 in total) that are contained in about 30 categories.

For example...

Electrical System
Horn
Switch
Headlamp
Bulb

Clutch
Cover
Plate
Cable
Bolt

Brakes
Front Disk
Rear Disk
Cable
Pads

Petrol Tank
Transfer
Fuel Tap
Filter
Cap

This is obviously a very simple list, but shows the sort of things we have on our database.

We'd like to upload our list to vBadvanced Dynamics or ReviewPost PHP Pro so our users are able to post comments against any item. Attaching a photo of the relevant part would also be good.

As I haven't been able to see vBadvanced Dynamics in 'the real world', I'm unsure if it can achieve this. As far as I'm aware, ReviewPost PHP Pro can.

Even if vBadvaned Dynamics is unsuitable for this task, I'd really like to see it operating on a real site, so I can get my head around what it actually does, and whether we may have another use for it.

Any help would be much appreciated

Unfortunately there are only a couple of vBa Dynamics users that have the 'Allow Public Display' setting enabled for their licenses, and none of them really have any content yet. The software is certainly capable of being used as a reveiws system though. It includes a category system, comments, attachments, and etc. It also inlcudes over 200 settings so that most everything can be modified through your Admin CP. Though it's not really a "real world" example, our articles demo (http://www.vbadvanced.com/dynamics3/) should be setup pretty close to the way you would want to configure things for a review script. Keep in mind as well that any of the modules there (Search, What's New, Random Articles, Calendar) can be enabled/disabled on most every page, and of course rearranged as well. Any differences that you see between the 3 demos we have setup have all be changed by modifying the settings, so anything that you see on one demo could just as easily be applied to one of the other demos.
Hopefully that helps some, but if you have any other questions about the features or anything else please let me know.

I've got the same problem. The challenge I'm having is that every example I see reminds me a bit of Photopost, which is just a little better version of "what the heck am I looking at other than a lot of content shoved together in no easily discernible, visually pleasing method?" While there are some parts of it I like, I'm not sure how to get it to work the way I want it. I see HaitiWebs as the example and while I like parts of it, I'm not sure how much is Dynamics and how much is something else.

Well. It so happened that dynamics is the only script on that server that I haven't modified at all. What you see is out of the box. Many other options are available, but this one serves my purpose.

Lionel - thanks. What else are you using so that I could get a little perspective on what's involved? BTW, very nice work and I think your design is extremely well done. It's one of the few that doesn't look like a mess of awkward boxes and flows nicely.

Like I said, for Dynamics, besides my header and footer, nothing was changed. I simply configured it to display like that (in the settings). I only added the welcome template, that's it.
