I'm thinking they are under DDOS attack again... They just distributed a patch to correct vulnerability, for the most part, spammers don't like that as they cannot pilfer email addys...

As many of you will have probably noticed by now, vBulletin.com and the other official sites have all been offline for several hours now.

Late last night an anomaly was noticed in several systems on the vBulletin server. The anomaly gradually grew more severe until it was decided to reboot the server.

Unfortunately, the server failed to reboot successfully. Analysis from staff at the data center has drawn the conclusion that a fatal error has occured in the server, and a full system rebuild will be required.

This rebuild is currently underway. If it becomes apparent that data has been lost, it will be limited to data from the 24 hours preceeding the failure, as a nightly backup of all important data is made to tape.

We are now working with the data center staff to bring the various services back online as soon as possible.

WHeeew I thought I messed somthing up on my admin cp lol then i went to vb to look for help and it wasnt going lmao i thought my days were numberd lol

I found it on vBulletin.nl ;)

I remember seeing a vB3 Gold status update before the server went down, but IIRC I don't think there was much in the lines of an ETA or anything like that.
