Active Modules Not Showing

Active modules such as featured and about me are not visible on the page they have been placed on.
Has anyone else had this issue that could help me get it to work properly?

Hey Dawn,
Which page(s) do you have those modules active on? The About Me module will only work when it's in a member's category or the Show Entry page since it has to have a userid passed to it in order to pull the data for the user.
For the Featured module, that one should work anywhere as long as you have marked some entries as 'featured'.

It wasn't a members category with the About Me, I'm just using it for all one users editorials so I didn't think about needing members categories, and I kept looking at the admin area with Featured and didn't know I had an option to activate an entry on the user side.
errr now I know. How embarrassing ...
