Hey Guys,

Finally got the site up and running. Thanks to Brian and everyone who helped me with questions on installation.

History is, I had a PHP-NUKE site, and a VB board before. Seperate entities, seperate domains. But, they were in spirit one site. That got unexpectedly wiped in a server problem, and I had to rebuild. Chose VBA to just merge in with the boards we already had.

Have to say, Its turning out for the better. Staff is more accustomed to working with the board, and the content delivery for VBA links and V3articles is sweet. Being able to wrap the VBA CMPS around both of those sealed the deal.

LMK what you guys think. Gonna be tweaking, modding, and adding hacks as they come out. Cant wait for the gallery. Anyway, here it is.

Pretty nice. I never realized there was so much stuff still going on with the Transformers. I stopped paying attention to them after the 1st movie came out and Optimus Prime got killed. Man, that was back in the day!

tfw2005,

Wow! Even though I knew there was still an existing fan base out there I didn't realize just how big the scene still was. I see that you're making good use of the vBa Links software for your downloads -- nice idea! I've been pondering in my head how to get rid of my old HTML static download pages and I think you've just given me the answer. ;) Whomever did your table headers with the background graphics did a nice job. It's a nice looking site, the only thing I'd recommend is to get off of RC3!

If you're interested here's a cleaned up post icon I'm using of Optimus's head (http://www.coolscifi.com/forums/images/smilies/misc/optimus.gif).

BTW: If you know of a cheap place to get my hands in the import version of the new model that transforms into a Jeep, let me know. I'm looking for the diecast versions, not the US plastic versions. :D

Off of RC3 :) Man that was a pain, had to basically reinstall and mod CMPS, Links, Articles, and the AdminCP hacks. Woofa! But all is good now.

I did all the Graphic design as well as HTML coding, plus the VB hacks and installation. And run the server its on. I do it all!

Check my sponsor, www.billstoysandgames.com . Shoot him an email first, tell him I sent you. Cant guarantee a price break from him, but you can try. He's gotta make money too. I havent gotten anything past the Viper, only getting the Americans. There are like 3 or 4 more out now, more in Japan. But they are sure as hell awesome, worth every penny.

Downloads in the links section works, but bad for main page and front page linking, cuz it mixes 2 completely different areas of the site when pulling new and top links out of the directory. The hottest "Link" and the hottest "Download" in my mind would be seperate for modules and/or main links page stuff. Only way around that is to figure a way to install it twice on the server and have 2 systems running. I dont feel like doing that so I work with what I got :)

This is just the start, I plan on tweaking this sonofagun out big time as I learn VB and PHP better. Ongoing process.

Funny, exact same happened to me as well. :)
Nice site, only thing is I am on dial up, and it took a l-o-n-g time to load in. Too much stuff I'm afraid.
