Depends on what you want, is this just to start the feed on your forum?
If so, simply put the bolded portion in the "source of feed" box

Hi, and thanks for the reply
I have used it here www.rawcarbon.co.uk on the most basic site know to man (new to this game so playing) and was keen to have a module much like this one on the left of this site.

That is a CMPS module for sure. The start would be setting up a forum and getting the build in RSS feed fuction to work for you.
Then, there is a thread in mods/hacks on this very forum to set it up as a module for your cmps. I am about to do the same thing myself.
It looked very straight forward. Have a look and post back if its not working for you.

I have a forum with cmsp running already, just trying to set up as much as before a data transfer from phpBB later in the month.
I'll have a look for the hack and add the url to my RSS feed and see what happens.
Let me know how you get on.

I use an "about today" hack that too a big fat poop the other night so I am thinking of switching over to this method.
The hack for the CMPS is very well done, and seems stable.
EDIT--this is the one for 3.6
