In the NEWS.php file where do I look to remove the users avatar (sp?) image? See my attached image to see what I mean. I want to remove it from that file as I do not wish to have it displayed in that module.

You dont need to edit any file, just turn off that option in the vBa settings :)

I've done that. A little background of my situation may be helpful at this point.
I installed initially back on the 24th od last month and everything worked well until yesterday/today. I backed up last on the 30th of last (I usually back up every other day as board is slow in activity). Yesterday morning my host lost (I have a reseller acct) our server hard drive (crashed hard they say - they don't use mirrored servers I learned). They initially thought 3-4 hours down time initially. This outfit averages 98.6% uptime. Turns out to be more serious. Downtime ended up being 26 hours with an old backup (theirs) used to restore with (maybe about as old as mine or older it seems).
Now I can't get that feature (user avatar) to work and my center and right columns are out of whack too now and will not accept my adjustment corrections at all from the cPanel. Any ideas? Maybe uninstall and then a complete re-install maybe? Hard (ctrl-F5) doesn't help any. My homepage (http://lonestarconservative.net/forums/cmps_index.php).

Admin CP => Edit Pages => Default / Homepage
Try changing the option there and see if that helps.

Thanks Brian for replying. Re: your suggestion - I've previously tried that and again after reading your reply here several times - no effect or change. No matter what I set the right column at it stays the same as it is now and the turning on/off the avatar has no effect either way. Maybe its in my template section. Oh well, I CAN live with this for the time being I suppose. I'll poke around under the cPanel hood some more this weekend and see if that turns up anything unless anyone else has any more ideas.

Would you mind filling out a support ticket via the Member's Area here so I can have a look?

Done. Let me know if your access level is high enough in my Admin panel for the account I established for you.

Brian, regarding your reply to my support ticket via email I appreciate your looking into my problem(s). I see that the user avatar is now not appearing in the NEWS.php column on the homepage - I tried to turn that feature off a number of times with no success, so thanks for getting it to take for you, I don't understand why it wouldn' take for me.
Were you able to do anything about the center and right columns width adjustments in the cPanel CMPS? Thanks again Brian.
Edit: Brian, disregard the above request. I'll narrow down my querie for you, hopefully: what determines the center columns width? Is there a way to adjust that columns width? Seems no matter what numbers I punch in for the left and the right column the center column doesn't change any.

The center column basically takes the remaining space that's left over from the left and right columns.

That's what I suspected after looking at the HTML code. I think I will uninstall CMPS, remove all its related files from the direcrories and then do a hard refresh and then a clean reinstall of CMPS. I'm also not not able to login again either as of this morning - possibly something I may have caused in my efforts to fix my columns situation. :p Thanks for your assistance though.
