I have just installed the vBadvanced CMPS. It's looks real promising. Since my forum is in the root, just as vBadvanced, I renamed the original index.php to forum.php, changed it also in the admincp, uploaded the new index.php from vBadvanced and removed the chdir in it.

My site (for example) is http://www.tcb.com. When you login to that site, everything works great. The pictures are showing up, the threads, the welcome screen, etc. But al the links to vbulletin are shown without the www. So a link to a thread is now http://tcb.com/showthread.php?t=136, instead of http://www.tcb.com/showthread.php?t=136.

The problem with that is that the cookies from http://www.tcb.com aren't recognized by browsers as the same as those from http://tcb.com. Result: you have to login again.

So how do I get the 'www' back in the links to the forum ?

You would need to change your 'Forum URL' option in your main vB settings and add "www" in the link there. What do you have your 'Cookie Domain' option set to though? There shouldn't be any reason that "www" in the URL would make a difference.

bloody hell :D

After all that time looking for fixes, it seems like I have totally forgot that setting. But the weird thing is that I never forget that normally?

Anyhow, glad that it's fixed now.... time to explore vBadvanced more
