Block for random video thread/post

How am I going to create a custom block for CMPS that pulls randomly (the title of this block might be - Random Video) video threads/posts from certain forums?

You could copy the news module and use that to display the videos.

Brian, do I need to make a duplicate for news.php also? Or just the duplicate module on CMPS cp and rename the module?

Just edit the module through the Admin CP and select the 'Copy Module' option.

it didn't show. When I click on preview button, it show the video but for whatever reasons, it just didn't show on the portal.

Did you make sure to edit your 'Default / Homepage' CMPS page and activate the module there?

yes, it just didn't show. that was why I put it inactive. couldn't find the reason why.

Well, it's definitely not going to show up on the page if it's not active there...
