Is there some hack or mod that would add National holidays to the calender?

Do you mean adding events that are defined as holidays to the calendar in vBa, or just adding holidays to the calendar in general?

All holidays should already be shown on the mini-calendar...

Do you have that calendar set to show pre-defined holidays?

What holidays show up for you? On my fresh 3.0.3 installation the only pre-defined holidays are Easter, Palm Sunday, Pentecost, Corpus Christi, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday, and Carnival with nothing listed at all in the Holiday Manager.
From reading over at vb.com that appears to be the correct setup for a fresh installation. :(
