I cant figure out how to add custom pages/content. I click the {Add Page} link and create the page, but how do I add content to it and how do I get the homepage (main portal) to link to it?

create a template first.
dont forget to name it adv_portal_themaneyouwant.
put the html you want inside.
Page Name: create a page call it whatever you want
Page Identifier: the name you want to show up on the link (http://www.domain.com/index.php?page=pageidentifier you choosed)
Page Template: the name of the template created above (adv_portal_thenameofyourtemplate)
Activate the module: Custom Page Content
and desactivete the ones you want, but the module Custom Page Content NEEDS to be active.

Hope it helps

Go to your admincp

on the left, click the down arrow beside Styles and Templates >>

Click Style Manager >>

Assuming all you have is the default style, go to the right of it, and click the down arrow where it says "All Style options" then click "Add new template"

as stated above, name it "adv_portal_thenameyouwant"

You would need to edit your 'navbar' template and add the code in there.

you would make a new module, and follow all the instruction for new page, but in module form.

.... for a quick & easy to implement navigation module. That module, or some deviation of it, is what a lot of us are using for the side bar menus.
