Spam.

This is clever only in that it annoys me alone, no one else sees it.

It seems that a spammer can report a link and in doing so gives me this....

Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Do not allow permissions for the report a link system to guests.

That's what I thought but for the life of me I cannot find that function.

First try going to Admin CP => vBa Links Directory => Modify Settings => Main Options => Enable Image Verification, and make sure that the 'Report Link' box there is checked. If that was not checked before, enabling that should be enough to stop most automated bots. If that doesn't help, then you can edit your permissions via the 'Usergroup Permissions' link and turn the 'Can Report Links / Posts' option off for guests.

The image verification has always been enabled.

'Can Report Links / Posts' option

I cannot find this in either the vba links user group permissions or the main vbulletin user group permissions.

Perhaps I need to clean my glasses?

Ahhh, I see you're still running v2.0.0. Those features were added in v2.0.1.

Ah, so.

I upgraded and get the following error (things work fine, just wanting to clean this up) upon submitting a link....

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /includes/functions_vba_links_savelink.php on line 62

Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /includes/functions_vba_links_savelink.php on line 101

Suggestions?

Admin CP => vBa Links => Modify Settings => Main Options => Remote Site Function

Change that setting to 'fsockopen' and that should take care of the problem.
