View Full Version : vBa Products Updated For vB 3.7 (Round 2)
Brian

Since we first updated our products a few days ago for vBulletin 3.7 compatibility, a few new issues have been pointed out that were not addressed in the first update. These include the following:
vBa CMPS:
Notices not appearing.
Ad Locations not appearing.
Problems with the Yahoo javascript links.
vBa Dynamics:
Problems with the Yahoo javascript links.
Problems with the new "Human Verification" system.
Problems with Javascript.
vBa Links Directory:
Problems with the Yahoo javascript links.
Problems with the new "Human Verification" system.
The most recent version of these three products (CMPS 3.0 RC2, Dynamics 1.0.0, & Links 2.0.1) have been updated again to correct these issues. For those running vBulletin 3.7, it is recommended that you download the files for any vBadvanced products that you are running and upload all of the updated files over your existing ones. Note that it is NOT necessary to run the 'Upgrade' section of the install file as you would typically do during a vBadvanced upgrade. Since there have not been any database changes and we are not changing version numbers for these updates, it is only necessary to upload the files, and also run the 'updateplugins' tool from the install file for each CMPS product. Once the files have been uploaded to your server, you should go to the following URL(s) in order to rebuild your plugins.
/admincp/vbacmps_install.php?do=updateplugins
/admincp/vbadyna_install.php?do=updateplugins
/admincp/vbalinks_install.php?do=updateplugins
Thanks to those who have been testing our products with vBulletin 3.7 and pointed out or helped with these issues, and happy holidays to everyone!

When will you have the complete stable package ready for dowload Brian?
Brian

The stable package of what exactly? vBa Dynamics v1.0.0 (gold) was released a few days ago, and vBa CMPS v3.0 RC2 should be very stable as there have only been a few bugs reported, most of which have already been corrected and the fixes applied to the download package.

OK,
Maybe was looking in the wrong area:
http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.php
Says vBadvanced CMPS v3.0 (RC2) is for
vBulletin 3.0.0 or higher.
PHP 4.0.6 or higher.
MySQL 3.23 or higher is recommended.
Current Version: 3.0 RC2
Released: 09-08-2007
Which I guess means 3.7.0, but didn't see an updated release date, hence thought the download package wasn't updated.
Thanks for the clarification.

There's no reason that I'm aware of that you would be getting js errors on the page as long as you've uploaded the new files. I would recommend downloading the package from here again, deleting the current includes/vba_cmps_include_bottom.php file from your server, and then uploading the one from the download package just to be sure that the file was overwritten. If that doesn't help, please submit a support ticket and I'll take a look for you.

I installed fresh forum using VBB 3.7 beta3. After that I install CMPS 3.0 RC2 but the information appreared show me that I used the old version of VBB and suggested me to upgrade to VBB 3.6 or higher. I think that's wrong info, isn't it?
Please help me on this matter.

Brian, after this upgrade, all my modules are appearing to the left column of the portal, even after trying to manually moving it to right, left, center column through page edit.
Any ideas? Thanks!

HkDng - You need to download the files from the Members' Area here again and upload them over your existing ones.
gldtn - From what I can tell, it looks like you've disabled the 'Use Module Wrapper Template' setting for the news module. Try checking that setting, and if it is disabled, re-enable it and that should take care of the problem. *Edit* Or that may be a result of the bug reported here (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26464).

Yep, it seemed like it was the bug reported.. it works fine after I added the , $vba_shellint; to the global file.
Thanks!

Hi Brian sorry to annoy you again
I just noticed this today ( I dont get many PMs LOL)
In the drop down menu which appears in place of new messages the URL is repeated
Ie I get http://www.boardsie.com/forum/http://www.boardsie.com/forum/private.php
insted of http://www.boardsie.com/forum/private.php

I'm having a problem with the new notifications. When you click the drop down menu and click to see what notifications you've gotten, like new profile message or PM it takes you to /member.php etc etc instead of /forum/member.php etc etc. I've set it up in the navbar replacements still with no luck.
