What did I do?

....and how do I fix it?
I have NO idea how this happened nor do I know how to set it as it was!
I have a "Recent Articles and Reviews" module on my Homepage that was made by using Brian's "CMPS Module - New Random Entries (Updated for 1.0 RCI)" It worked just fine as seen in pic. 2.

Now it no longer has any text whatsoever ending with the [Read more] and also has the user name on it! Pic. 1

Just exactly where and what settings do I make so it is again like it was as in pic.2 with just a certain amount of text with the [Read more] and NO user name? I've tried everything and cannot seem to get it back as it was before! Need help!

I'm not really aware of anything that would cause a problem like that... Have you tried deleting the module and then re-uploading it?

Would that involve deleting the entire thing and than having to reinstall the CMPS Module-New/Random Entries )Update for 1.0 RC1) again?

You should be able to just delete the module and then re-upload the .module file from the thread.

Sorry Brian, I guess what I meant that if I delete the module would I also have to delete the "Modules/dyna_newrand_cmps.php" also? I hope not!

I don't get it! I removed the module and then reinstalled the "whatsnew.module" as I could not find it on the "Edit Templates" in CMPS. I managed to get it back but its still the same way! User name, title of subject and nothing more! Anything else that I can try to make it as it was when I first installed the CMPS Module- New / Random Entries?

For what it's worth I think I should point out that I did absolutely nothing!
People were posting and submitting articles with no problem and they showed up just fine on the Homepage module that I used of yours (Brian).
Yesterday I submitted an Article and for some unknown reason it showed up as in picture 1. Before they all showed up as in in picture 2 sans the picture (which is from the GARS program). Just another problem as to the Dynamics program in not showing a Header Image as to ones Article.

I'll admit that Dynamics does indeed have its features but as a dedicated Article program Dynamics does not even hold a candle up to GARS. If GARS should ever come back again I'll dump Dynamics like a hot potato! What really gets my goat is that seeing that Dynamics is produced by vBadvanced who also produced vBadvanced CMPS so why on God's earth cannot the Dynamic modules be easily placed on a CMPS Homepage made by the same producers? Makes no sense to me! The "Whats New" module is great in Dynamics! What damn bit of good does it do if it cannot be used on the CMPS Homepage?

By the way.....has anyone else ran into the same problem I have with the CMPS Module - New / Random Entries? Like said, I never did a thing and it just changed its format and turned into a total failure!

It's simply a matter of taking a screen shot from a site that for all practical purposes is now down that I was a moderator on but still have access to (long story) . I did not take a screen shot of the module on my site as it was when the module was working as I actually never felt I had to as I'm sure you can well understand as in, why should I have? I simply had to use two images as for a comparison as to the way my Homepage module looked at first on my site sans the the picture and the way it looks now. As said previously, I never made any changes. I simply posted an Article and it came up as it is now with simply my user name and the title of my article. No extracted words from the article and then the [read more,here] as it was before! What happened? New articles that are being posted by members come up the same way on the homepage module the same way! I can't for the life of me figure out what happened other than there being some glitch/fault in the module that Brian posted with the "CMPS Module - New / Random Entries!

Again, I can't over emphasize my question as to why the Dynamics program is not easily integrated with CMPS modules on ones Homepage seeing that both are vBadvanced programs! It makes absolutely no sense! Why must one go through such contortions to make both compatible and use a special module when produced by the same company/programmers? Seems all too counter productive in my humble opinion. Bottom line.....I am in need of desperate help here to get this issue resolved.
