Forum List Module?

Is there a module to list the forums (in a tree with categories, preferably). i've seen sites that do this, but i don't know if they're using vbadvanced.

not by default, but you could create one in simple html and then create a new module to display it.

Yeah, I considered that, but different forums are visible based on group membership, and I'd like the correct forums to show up in the list.
