View Full Version : Who's Online Broken?
VBA CMPS installed fine a few days ago and working perfectly (VB 3.03).
I even added a module following tips from this board.
I only added lines. Didn't delete any.
I noticed Who's Online seems to be broken.
It seems to have 99% of my active members "Viewing Index" instead of specifying where they are.
Strangely, it depicts the Guests "Viewing Thread ", "Viewing Archives" or "Registering"
Is this normal with VBA installs?
Thanks.

The CMPS should have nothing to do with your Who's Online page... Are you sure those people aren't actually viewing your homepage?
The CMPS should have nothing to do with your Who's Online page... Are you sure those people aren't actually viewing your homepage?Just unusual that 10 logged in people would all be doing that at the same time.
Will keep an eye on it though.
Thank you.

I'm having the same problem, but I can add a bit more info...
I created a new page (/index.php?page=xxx)using VBA_CMPS that I call through an iframe on my left nav. Since the left nav is on all pages. Every time a page loads, vB thinks the user is on the home page.
The only workaround I've come up with is to use the full src URL using the IP address for the iframe. That fixed the Who's Online issue.
Now, I have an additional problem. When I'm on a thread page, the "Currently active users viewing this thread" count is wrong. It only show the user who's looking at the page and the count only says "1" member "0" guests eventhough I have other browsers open with visitors/members viewing the same thread and Who's Online shows them all there.
Not quite sure how to figure this one out yet...
Is there an easier way to incorporate the modules from vBa CMPS into the leftnav of all forum pages.

I tried that and it just put the content of the page in an additional column. It screwed my layout up because I customized my header with a leftnav/tabs/ads, etc.
I want to be able to incorporate the content of the page in my left nav as follows:
<td> index.php?page=xxx content goes here </td>
How can I accomplish this?
I already customized the page to only have 1 column with only the latest post module on it.
