Events from the Calendar

I know I can show the calendar on the mainpage, but can I also show events posted in the calendar to the mainpage ? Both past, present and future events ?

The mini calendar should already show links to days with events and a list of the events when you hover over a day with your mouse if you have a calendar selected to pull events from in the module's settings.
