Parameter is incorrect

I always got this message: "parameter is incorrect" when inserting my forumpath into the forumpath variable. Help please!

my directory is /www/example.com/forum

I also used the forumpath file in the Extra folder and it gave the same path.

Uhhh... That error wouldn't be from the CMPS. Can you post the contents of your cmps_index.php file here?

I used dreamweaver to edit it and the program returned the error. So I used notepad and it was fine. But I have other problems though...
