Placement Installation Question

I was wondering if I installed vBadvanced, do I have to place it in the same folder as my forum?

I have my forums on a subdomain away from my main folder.

i.e.

my main homepage is www.example.com
but my forums are listed at forums.example.com

All of the files/folders in the 'forum' folder that come with the download package need to be uploaded to the same folder you have vBulletin installed to. The main file for the CMPS (cmps_index.php) can be placed anywhere on your server as long the folder it's placed in has permission to change directories from it into the folder where vB is installed.
