Categories not showing up on dym index

attached is a screen shot of the block that I cannot seem to get to appear. Is it a module or is that something that should show up automatically.?

That should show up automatically as long as you have some categories and have not changed the 'Disable Categories (by forcing all entries into one category)' setting, or enabled the 'Disable Category Display' setting.
