or perhaps im doing it worng. I want to add some blocks just like on the CMPS of www.vbadvanced.com. Right now i've been doing it by adding post to a new forum and adding that to the news module.

I want to to look like the blocks on the front of the vbandavnced page and not just forum posts?!

Is it not news that I should use to make these blocks?

Are you referring to the modules that show our different products? If so, that's a custom module for our products system. You could always modify your 'adv_portal_newsbits' template though to look more like that.
