Heya,

Wanted to suggest/ see the possibilities to something here. Would you guys ever consider making your own version of the V3 articles system currently out? That system works, but is underdeveloped, and support is not consistent. I currently use CMPS and Links, will most likely use Gallery as well from you guys. The only other thing I need to make my website "complete" content delivery wise is an Articles system similar to V3.

If you guys would create one similar, enhance it, and streamline the coding, I think you could have a perfect trinity (quadrinity :) ) of products for a complete site package. Specially if it works easily directly with CMPS and VB (moreso than now).

Just my 2 cents. If CMPS, Links, Gallery, and Articles were available with a sinlge install, all connected and working with VB, I don't think there would be anything that could compete.

I've thought about it and had plans to create one until the v3 articles script was released. I may still create something in time though.

Cool deal. I know you are probably busy with Gallery, but I would love this. Hopefully others would too (cough say so here cough).

One suggestion if anything goes that way, try and create an importer from V3 to anything new you do. Many people wouldnt want to lose or reenter what they have already. An importer with a superior script by you would be a no brainer tho.

PM me if a contribution would jump start the process in any way :)

I was a bit dubious about the hack on vborg, so I made my own version by simply creating a new template, adding (i think) 1 line in phpinclude (to indicate which forums required the specific template) and then 1 or 2 lines in my Show thread template that tests if the current forum requires the new template.

It was pretty straight forward and allows the articles (and tutorials) to be searched (unlike the one on vborg)

You can check it out here-> http://www.thenailgeek.com/showthread.php?t=2639

If you want I can post the modifications

It looks good A Geek. Please post the mods. I could use it.

It would be great if photo thumbnails could be added next to the text.

Worked fine for me A Geek, I'm just working on integrating it fully with CMPS so that I can have News and articles showing on the front page once I get it done. I'll post a link :D
