simplest module

just want to add a module, that simply shows a single picture, and a piece of text that doesn't change at all, ever. just that... how do i do that?

Do a search for 'Create New Module' here on the forum (I can't remember exactly what it is called) as there are several posts that explain how to create a new, empty module. Then use that template code for your single picture module, then simply add the html for whichever picture you want to display into that code. :)
