Multi-categorization and additional browsing options.

There has been a lot of requests for the ability to submit entries into multiple categories and part of the reason is that this would allow entries to be browsed by multiple criteria rather than searched.

This is really the great weakness in Dynamics that is holding it back (and me back) from a lot of creative and useful implementations of this software.

Brian - how about creating a module that allows us to browse by fields that right now can only be searched for? For example, my very active, Dynamics based categories with over 1,300 ads in the last two months, has many extra fields that users can search by. However, searching is not the default behavior in most users that are using my site, browsing is. I need to be able to link a list of ads that have the location field option PNW chosen to my regional PNW forum and allow users to browse listings that are in their geographical area. Right now this is not possible because location is not the primary category and there is no way to browse by anything other than the category.

What say you Brian? Is there something we can do about this? Please?

The ability pass parameters via urls to filter results based on custom fields is (or should be) a simple and fundamentally important function. I am pretty disappointed that over 8 months have gone by and there is still no solution to this. At this point I am forced to start looking at other products.
