View Full Version : image issue on homepage
My images are located at
http://thalforum.com/forums/images and this is correctly reflected in the style and templates - Images option in vB. (i have double checked).
However, on the main homepage (www.thalforum.com), one images is missing - under Latest Forum Topics and the URL is pointing to http://thalforum.com/images/icons/icon1.gif.
where did the installation go wrong? how can I fix this?
Thanks,
Viks

Is this a new install?
If so go back and read the install directions again. (the beginning)

I've re-read and confrimed all steps. I have checked the image paths (""Here you must change the path for each image directory"") as per the install notes.
the images show fine at www.thalforum.com/forums but not at www.thalforums.com
Im thinking of uninstalling and re-installing all over again. If u can suggest something to fix this...it will really help.
thanks

Try a re-install, I cannot see why that would happen.

Did you try that?
Did you try that?
Yes Brian, I tried that...but didnt work.
Also I did re-install it 2 times but still got no resolution. I found the problem with the image path...and even after saving it many many times....i could not get the CMPS to pick up the right path.
finally, i uninstalled the CMPS mod. :(
maybe i will try to install VbAdvanced instead.

I just registered on your forums to check and all of your icons have been updated to include the full path, so the problem has to be with your 'Show Default Post Icon' option (Admin CP => vBulletin Options => Thread Display Options => Show Default Post Icon). Make sure the setting there is set to the full URL to that icon and you shouldn't have a problem.
I re-installed and tried as you mentioned above. ^^ and it works.
:D
thanks.
