First... VBulletin and CMPS is amazing!

I find my self rushing home from work to read, practice and learn something new...

Ok here goes with my question... been getting some feed back from other boards and it was mentioned to ask here as well...

I am still reading, testing and getting fimiliar with vB and cmps. Please bare with me if my questions are foolish I still have much to read and practice.

Q: Is it possible to create the following;

Page One: Entry/Splash - nothing but our logo image and entry link
no tags,footers or links and without having to invis via bg&text color
Mostly likely flash... (not allowing html I know it's the ebil) for entry and banner...

Page Two: Regular Portal

1.With flash banner/movie and navigation

2.Left and center stage for login, news, custom and other mods
custom content mod would intro us and detail membership requirements

3.News mod with images...

NOTE: The above would be veiwable (text,images and news mod) by anyone (non-members)

Page Three: The Forum

1. This page/s would be the heart of the site, all forums

2.I was hoping to have this section, in regards to non-members, do the following.

~Send them to a page similiar to "Welcome Pages". With a polite message explaining this is a members only area.

~Then redirect back to page or section Two...

~That page/sections' custom content would intro us and detail membership requirements


I have a mind map of what I want but still super green here in VB Land.


With that said... any tips, pointers, warnings and/or "hell no's" are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Answer to nearly everything is most things are possible depending on the hacking time you have ;)

Part 1. Entry/Splash
Should be easy just create a splash/intro page and name it index.htm or what every you want on the root of the site.

Part 2. Regular Portal
This is CMPS and can do those things you want.

Part 3. Forum
Again should be fairly easy with VB just designate that non registered users can't see the forum. Just have a CPMS page that has the details you want on it and have them redirect to that.
