Do excuse the simplicity of my post but I am new to all this; vbulletin, vbadv, php, msql the whole kit and cuboodle. I getting thru it slowly but it takes time.
My issue is that I have installed it correctly (following the instructions) but I see nothing. What have i missed??
thx

a little bit more info please....
we can't be sure you installed it correctly first of all.
also, what does it show on the pages?
is your forum working?
have you looked at the CMPS options in the forum admincp ?
have you set up the "default / homepage" correctly?

HI,
thanks for getting back to me. In answer to your questions:
In fact nothing shows up on the pages, they just look like vbulletin out of the box.
Yes the forum is working, its as if nothing has changed.
yes I have looked at the CMPS options and selected the appropriate options in Default settings.
What is correctly? I have activated everything and still no show. Where is the default page? ( I had assumed it was cmps_index.php in root but on viewing it notifies me I do not have the required permissions and then logs me in (forcing an error to http://mydomain/forums/login) not ...login.php.)
please advise.
thx
Brian

Done. Thanks.
but while i can log in now:
1. I still dont have permissions to view assuming default homepage is index.php (root). Bit in admin, settings for homepage allow for all users to view..
2. I can still see no modules at forums/index.php
3. I also added a new page 'test' with all the bells and whistles. went to domain/forums/index.php?page-test and still nothing
what am i doing wrong or overlooked??
thx

If you're trying to get the modules on your forum pages as well you'll need to follow the instructions on this page (http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6) in the user's manual.

I was but now i would just like to get it working on the main pages. when I have done that then I will move onto adding additional pages.

What is the problem on the main page? Is it that it's showing the no permission error? If so, do you have that usergroup set to allow them to view the forums?

Brian,
yes. from what i can tell all the correct permissions have been applied. I have a registered user 'test' assigned forum permissions. Also now if attempt to login redirect to vbulletin permission message. Select home and back to index which redirects me back to /index.php?
(I know there is an installtion service bt would prefer to sort this out)

If you'd like to submit a support ticket via the Member's Area here then I'll be glad to take a look and see what the problem is (please give your test account login/password as well in the box where you describe your problem).
