Hi, thanks in advance, new to VBAdvanced CMPS. I've been working with this for about six hours. I'm having trouble simply creating a page that rests on top of the CMPS platform. My needs are as simple as just creating a content page. I'm able to do so successfully from the VBAdvanced CMPS admin section of VBulletin, but in the central column where it indicates that "Custom Page Content" is to be used, it provides the user with no way to edit which custom page content appears there. I simply wish to display good old-fashioned static HTML and images within a page that resides (for easy site owner text editing purposes) within the vaunted legendary VBAdvanced CMPS, and so far, cannot figure out how to do such a mystifyingly simple trick. I've pored over the Installation Guide thread, searched the forums on the topic Custom Page Content, and cannot locate a quick reference on how to simple create, populate and view a small piece of custom content without involving modules, templates, and more modules. I don't need either templates or modules; I need a method by which I can successfully create a bonafide page.

Is there a VBAdvanced CMPS for Morons thread anyone can point me to? I've looked for it and cannot find it.

The custom page content module will show the custom content from that page... On a BB code page, it shows the BB code that you enter for that page. A template page shows the content from the template you've specified, and so on.

Thanks Brian for the response. What exactly is a "template page?" I guess I have volumes of study to do in order to properly use this tool. I wish it were as simple as point-click, create, edit, save.

A template page allows you to pull the content from a template you specify and displays it in place of the 'Custom Page Content' module. Templates allow you to enter more advanced HTML, use <if conditions>, variables, and etc.

I guess this is what has me confused. I think of a "template" as a blueprint for many pieces that will share common characteristics.

Thanks for the response again!
