Because they are two different versions of Links (2. vs 3.)?

Yep, seems to be a issue with new beta version.

Have just totally deleted 3.02 version from our site, inc all databases, and used the previous version for 3.6-3.7

Still no thumbshots, and still cannot get Lionels hack to work.

Incidentally, have been following Lionels stuff for a long time, on vb.org site.

Hence I know he knows his stuff.

I must admit the interface for the previous ( gold if you like version ) is far more intuitive to newbies like myself.

I have not installed the beta version and probably won't until the full version is released. Not that I don't mind helping with the beta it's just that I have many custom PHP edits and template hacks that I don't feel like sorting out and then maybe doing it again when the final version of Links is released.

I have thumbs enabled on v2.02 but I used a different hack and also don't use thumbshots. If you don't mind paying for some software - pageviuslize is some great stuff. I'm still working on my links but you can see the work in progress at http://www.legendarythreads.net

Using the software I'm using, a thumbshot and a full size screen capture is available on my site within 15 minutes of a submission.

Mate I really appreciate that !

Sincerely :)

Our site is growing at a good rate, and like you we have lots of little template hacks, and mods we have created and/or implemented.

So we need a running version, I hadnt seen any vulnerabilities with the beta so installed that, but I agree.. in hindsight best to wait.

Will take a look at that link, and post back :)

Cheers Ozzy

Those links were removed in v3.0, as mentioned in the announcement.

Inline moderation for links and posts allowing admins and moderators to mass manage links from the front-end, similar to the inline moderation functions in vBulletin. Due to this, the "Mass Manage Links" area from the Admin CP has been removed.

The "Status Reports" feature from the Admin CP has been moved to the "Moderate" link on the front-end (formerly the "Moderate New" link), allowing vBa Links moderators to run status reports and reciprocal link checks without having access to the Admin CP. Due to this, the "Status Reports" link from the Admin CP has also been removed.

The "Add Link" and 3 links for moderating links/posts/categories have been removed from the Admin CP since they are available on the front-end and redundant.
