Thumbnails

We cannot view thumbnails, I think this isnt native to 2.02. as other people are using third party addons, other than the v3 with thumbshots.

I noticed today, a hack on vb.org for the shrinktheweb hack.

We have utilised this in user profiles, and works great. Plus its free.

Could this hack be hacked into this version of links directory, if so how so... :)

Hi.

Having deployed latest Beta 3. and reverting back to 2.0.2 is it. VBALINKS.

We struggled to get the thumbshots, part working.
In fact it would seem a few people have had that issue, and those on 2.0.2 version, are using a vairiety of hacks, some which provide thumbshots at quite a hefty fee.

The post #1 refers to a a free source of thumbshots, if it hasnt been indexed, then when a link is added, it pings their server to go and fetch a screen capture.

The vb.org guy, has created a hack for VB, I was wondering if someone here, given this info, could conjur up a hack for 2.0.2

Is that more explanatory?

I just started using ShrinkTheWeb instead of thumbshots (simple <img> code replacement.) Works fine with vBA Link Directory 3.0.0 Gold (and I'm sure it would work fine with vB LinkDirectory 2.0 also). Screenshots are bigger too.
