I am trying to figure out how to sort the links on the browslinks.php. I want them to sort by UserGroup like so:
UserGroup A (links submitted sort at the top of browslinks.php)
UserGroup B (links submitted sort after links submitted by Group A)
UserGroup C (links submitted sort after links submitted by Group B)
This way, members that pay (subscribe) to be in a better UserGroup such as B or A, will have their links displayed higher then those who are in Group C.
Any ideas?
TIA!

I'm guessing this isn't possible. That's too bad because I believe it could offset the costs of purchasing add-ons like vBLinks. ;)

Thanks for the proof that it is possible. I believe the ways and means may be more then my skills allow.
Nice site, Lionel. Is that yours and if so, did you hand code that subscriptions page and options yourself? Also, are you using vBadvanced Dynamics to run the "Featured Articles" "Interactive Interviews" and such on the Forum page?

Yes it's mine. Thanks.
I did all the work on it. One thing you should know: you mentioned usergroups... bad idea ... that should be treated by linkid as one member (in a certain usergroup) could have multiple links. I am sure you wouldn't want all his links to be included in the "deal".

Interactive Interviews has been coded by me and will be available for release soon on my site. It was supposed to also display the person picture. I lost that during a migration.
Featured articles are just some code to pull articles from forums from a specific pool.

Is it possible you would share that code to pull the featured articles? If not, I completely understand.

I could, that's not a problem... but what would you use as criteria, the pool to select them from? I use the threadicon hack many different ways. To pull from main articles, to pull from soccer news, from entertainment news ... but all those could be simplified now with vbulletin 3.70 ++
Something has to mark those articles as featured for you to pull them from.

I guess I would specify the forums and use the most read post in said forums as the criteria.
Thanks for you expert help.

Then simply copy the news module and alter that copy to look for those criterias ...

If it is possible to sort links by UserGroup, how do I accomplish this?
TIA!
