View Full Version : Post Icons Broken

If you add post icons with your post icon manager, they seem to come up broken on the vBacmps index. I mean these little guys that appear next to the post title http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/images/icons/icon4.gif, http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/images/icons/icon2.gif, etc.
The paths created by the AdminCP's Post Icon Manager are relative, so you have to go back in using the edit tool and change them all to absolute paths, or you get the red X on your non VB pages.
I suspect new smilies would be the same, although I haven't tested it.
Is there a way to hack image.php or the appropriate part of the admin controls to force the link to be absolute?
Regards,
Matt

You either need to add the full path manually, or you can upload the install file and select the option to update your image paths. ;)

I edited the paths manually in the style manager they all have the full URL http://www.site.com/forums/images/xxx, but that's not working..
What edit tool am I supposed to be using to change the right paths.

If you added the full URL correctly then there's no reason they wouldn't show up.

Where is the full URL supposed to be added, mine is in the paths that are set in the Style Manager, is there another place, I'm nto sure I did it right.
Where are the full paths for icons set?

Weird, http://www.emocrap.com/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif that is what is in there, hm. Is there any other reason that might be happening?

Admin CP => vBulletin Options
I can't remember what setting group it's under at the moment, but just search the page for 'Default Post Icon'. Make sure that's set to the full URL. Even if it is, save your options anyways to update the cache.

Having the same problem. Only way I found around it was to create a new directory and upload the icons to the location it thinks it is in.
The paths are correct in the setup but still it drops the /forums or /forum part of the path.
