Hello I have vbulletin and mambo on my site at www.4xtraders.com. I am thinking of not using mambo but I really like the General layout that I created for mambo. From the attachment is the very general layout that is use for mambo, which has 5 sections... yellow for the main content, while the top, bottom, right and left columbs are all the same (at least how I had planned to use them). So really the only part that changes on the site is the yellow area used for the changing content.

I really want to keep my layout and look exactly the way it is now, with every thing the same, while only the content (like the forum) that is use in the yellow area.... including all of vB errors. Would it be possible by using vbadvanced? I would also like to use my own nav menu.

One of the thing I really don't care about it is all groups in the left/right columbs all seem to use a border, which I don't want on some of the items.

With vbadvance, could I hard code necessary items that I want? Meaning, is it easy to do (newbie here)

I had though in the beginning of my site that I would be able to use both mambo and vb, but later didn't like how I couldn't intergrate them together. So I have decided to use vB or all of, if not most of, my site.... including areas that I don't plan as being part of the forum (glossary, tutorials and the like) but be able to show/have mini discussions or polls (book reviews/software).

Any input would be great to hear of what I want to do if it can or can't happen.

You should be able to acomplish that general layout with no problem as long as you know HTML and can edit the templates.

Thanks for the reply Brian, as for the templates, would they all be vBadvanced templates only or would some be vBulletin as well.

Should only be vBa templates.

Just so I fully understand... I will be able to have left and right columns on very page?

Yes, but will require a little more work to change the vB files as well. There are instructions on how to do that in the user's manual.
