Edit/Add Modules

I need to either edit the custom module or create a new one. I want to add a mod which contains an intro, images, some text/link info and a flash element. I need to be able to do my html magic then plug it into a mod or template.

My problem is I have no clue where to find the actual html/mod that I need to edit.

Can someone please help or point me in the right direction?
