View Full Version : Adding the Forum as a Module

I am trying to add the forum index as a center module but every time I add it, it just eliminates any other modules (left, right, and center)

Note:
1. The forum is installed in the www/ directory and not www/forum/
2. When I renamed cmps_index.php to index.php I renamed the original index.php (forum) to index1.php
3. I tried uploading index1.php into the modules directory and adding it as a module but it keeps on eliminating the other modules, even when I change the index1.php width in styles.
4. I also followed the instructions http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6ahttp://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6cat http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6 but couldn't get it working.

Any help is appreciated.

It should work if you follow those instructions.

http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4&pageid=6

but you don't need to upload the forum as a module. It kind of sounds like you want the forum to be the front page of the site with the modules on the left if this is the case. Follow the instruction in the above link and leave the forum index.php as index.php and rename cmps_index.php to main.php or anything else you want it to be.

Or if you want the portal as the front page then rename forum index.php to forum.php and rename cmps_index.php to index.php then go to vbadmin and under vbulletin option > Forums Home Page Options > Script Name for Forum Home Page change that to forum.

Hope that helps.

It seems to have no problem displaying the right column, however, it is desplaying the left column under the custom page content / forum module
