Problem adding pages

I am tried adding a custom page but when I go to view it at http://www.myforum.com/index.php?page=mycustompage it just shows the existing index page and not the custom one.

What did you use as the 'Page Identifier' option when you created the page?

'Page Identifier' = test

So the custom page would be www.sexforums.com/index.php?page=test

But it just brings me to the main page, even if i type ?asjdfkl it will still bring me to the main page
