Hi there,
we are runing portal with almost 400.000 forum posts.
We have some fiascos with cms in the past, firstly we have static html pages, then some article script, then joomla, and finaly we ordered custom made cms, which is fine, but development and custumization is to slow for our needs.
We have female orientated portal, and idea is that members would publish their own content (aritcles) on first page of portal.
Here are our needs:
Are members able to publish articles on first page?
Can they add also multimedia? Is there modul for videos for example?
We have also catalouge with over 7.000 products, which members rate with stars. Can this be integreted somehow?
Seo?
Thank you for answers

That depends on how you set things up... There's the What's New module which can display new entries on any vBa Dynamics page. There's also a CMPS version of that module that will allow you to show new entries on your CMPS pages.

vBa Dynamics includes attachment abilities which will allow you to attach any type of file you would like.
We have also catalouge with over 7.000 products, which members rate with stars. Can this be integreted somehow?
Can you elaborate a little on how exactly you would like to integrate the two?
Seo?
Yes, there are SEO options including features to allow you to use spider friendly URL's using mod_rewrite.

Hi,
thank you for replies.
I have two more tough.
Regarding CMPS, can it be upgraded to dynamics? We'd like to test it for week or two first, as we had really bad experiences with some cmss, so we're more careful now :)
And second... Can you set on front-page from which forums (IDs) is shown content and can it be set that it is shown like article... for example pic on left and 150 words on right?
Thank you in advance this time.

1). There's really no such thing as "upgrading" from vBa CMPS to vBa Dynamics since they are completely different products. For more info regarding the differences, please see this thread:
http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24750
2). That can be done with the CMPS, but there is not a default module with vBa Dynamics to show forum threads/posts.
