View Full Version : Ten second wait between searches???

I never made a search. All I did was click a member's name in their post and selected Find all posts... It was the first thing I did when I got here - I hadn't used the search feature. So, just to humor it, I waited 10 seconds - more than that actually, I counted real slooooow. Got the same message.

When I decided to click to visit the member's profile and then find all his posts, it worked just fine. Go ahead, click my name and then select find all my posts. I bet you'll get the same error.

Maybe it's a bug with vBulletin?

Oh hey, looks like this only happens with IE7.

Seems to be doing the same for my testing account, so I guess vB is counting that as a search.
Did you perhaps click the 'New Posts' or 'Todays Posts' links when you first got here? That would be counted as a search too, so would explain why you received the message.

No, I don't usually use "New Posts" or "Todays Posts". I know that would be considered a search - anything that lands you on the search.php page would be a search, I think. It's weird because, although it did that every time I clicked on a users name and then find all their posts for a while, just before I left it stopped giving me that error. http://www.grumpsplace.com/images/smilies/didnt_know.gif
