I have vbulletin 3.7 and vbSEO 3.2. What do I need to do to run Link Directory with vbseo?

They work together for me , you need nothing else.

Use the .htaccess provided with Links and have it within the Links Directory folder.

Use the vBSEO provided .htaccess in public_html.

tried it and then I get this when I click on a category:

The requested URL /links/linkcat-3.html was not found on this server.

Take a look here: http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32068

vBSEO rewrite goes on .htaccess that runs on /public_html.

vBA LINKS .htaccess MUST be within the LINKS folder on the server.

I run vB v3.7.4 , vBSEO 3.2 and vBA Links Directory 3.00 along with vBACMPS 3.01 , I have recently started using spider friendly URL's in Links and I have no problems with error messages.

Edit to add, I have also set up this sitemap addon from Larina and it works perfectly http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32265 .

Yes, I have the same...copied vbseo htaccess into root (where vbadvanced and vbulleting is) and htaccess from vba link directory in my links folder.

Now it works but when I click on a category in the directory, I only get this:

http://www.mydomain.com/links/linkcat-3.html

instead of e.g.

http://www.mydomain.com/links/Banks.html (if the category would be banks)

ok, fixed it...external pages in vbseo settings requires "links/" and link directory seo needs to be enabled.
