User names with different colors?

To change the color (also bold, italics, etc) of user names go to AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Edit > Username HTML Markup

To move users to various groups, you can do this a couple ways. The first is to move each user individually. It's tedious and takes a while if you have many users to move. You would do this by going to AdminCP > Users > Search for Users >

Then when you find the user you're looking for, click on the check boxes in the upper right of their entry.

To do this to a large group of users:

Either go to AdminCP > Users > Prune/Move Users

Or

To do it semi-automatically once users have reached a certain post count or whatever, go to AdminCP > Usergroups > Promotions This way will be carried out by a cron job which, I think, runs a couple times a day.

For something that does it even faster, search at vbulletin.org for a mod with the word "promotions" in the title. I recall one being there that does this last option automatically.
