buddylist/adding to user profiles

I have a question as to where I can find exactly where the buddy lists get built. Is it in the functions.php file? Basically what I'm doing it creating another list aside from the buddy list and I want it to perform in the same manner. Meaning that in the forums you can add someone to that list or take them away.

I'm assuming that the bbuserinfo gets built all as soon as the user logs in, and I see that being built in a file, but there's nothing in there about the buddy list or ignore list. I was wondering where that part of the bbuserinfo array comes in. Thanks again.

You'd probably be better off asking at vbulletin.org (or just searching the files yourself) as this has nothing to do with vBadvanced.
