how to not require a valid url to complete a listing

I want to allow people to enter a listing without a url if they want to and i would also like to have everything on one page rather than having the url entry on one page and the other info on the next

1) You should be able to disable 'Verify New Links' under 'Submit Link Verification Options' - They will still need to enter something as I believe links won't allow a blank entry. To leave it blank would require some code hacking (I believe).

I'm curious... What would be the point of a links directory if users aren't submitting links? Would they be advertising brick and mortar stores?
