Hi,
I'm trying to decide between Links Directory and Dynamics, so I'd appreciate your advice on this decision.
The web site will be a links directory, for hosting providers and their services. For instance:
Provider A
|
|-- Linux Hosting Plans
|-- Linux Reseller Plans
Provider B
|
|-- Windows Hosting Plans
Provider C
|
|-- VPS Plans
|-- Dedicated Server Plans
|-- Colocation Plans
and so on.
I'm thinking about grouping each service on specific forums. And then each provider can post their own hosting plans on each specific forum. If the provider offers more than one service (like A and C on my example), then they would post on more than one forum according to the number of services offered.
The system should allow the creation of several custom fields, that the provider should select (checkbox-type) to let the users know if, for instance, they offer PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc. And the same for the country, and other different items. That way, the user should be able to perform a search with details like "PHP, Canada", to search for a hosting provider offering shared hosting accounts with PHP in Canada.
And the idea is to use the vBulletin's blog and/or profile feature so each hosting provider can post their own company information there.
vBadvanced Dynamics might be suitable for this because, as per your own words, "can be used to catalog and display a database of just about anything".
But then I believe vBadvanced Links Directory might be a better choice. That's whay I prefer your advice first.
Also, is it possible to translate your scripts into spanish?
Thank you very much.
