Move Thread causes Vbulletin Error "Invalid Action Specified"

Vbulletin will not help. They say its a hack problem.

The only Hack is vBadvanced CMPS installed.

Any suggestions one where to start looking?

It wouldn't have anything to do with the CMPS as it doesn't touch any of those files. I would try uploading the un-hacked files and see if it still happens then. If so, then you should be able to ask for support at vbulletin.com since you have the un-hacked files. If not, then just re-apply the changes that you made for the CMPS.

Getting standard reply from Vbulletin.

Remove all hacks and restore database before they will assist.

They say its the hack and will not help. Can't even find out what generates this error and what it means.

There is also no history of such an error on their site so I tend to beleive its is this protal that caused it.

Can someone please advise.

Yes, Brian advised you, reupload unhacked files and see if you still get the same error, we do not know what hacks you have installed, we must first see if it is a hack that is causing the problem. the only way to do this is upload default files, if you are still getting the error afterwords, then we know its not the hack.

I think you missed what I said. "The only hack is vBadvanced"

It was working fine before it was installed.
There is no need to remove it and go through this again.

Why keep dancing around it? Do you guys work for Microsoft ;-)

NOTHING else is installed no other hacks have been done. I've been running Vbulletin on other sites for two years with 10,000 plus users just fine. I installed vBadvanced CMPS and this happens.

I'm not an idiot.

There's also no history here of the CMPS ever causing something like you're explaining, plus (as I said before) the CMPS does not modify any files or templates that would have anything to do with that. It should take you a couple of minutes to upload the default files over the ones you modified for the CMPS and then less than 5 to re-apply the changes once you can get some support from Jelsoft.

There could have been a number of things to cause this outside of vBulletin as well, your host could have made some changes at the server level that effected some php files like changing the character encoding on the system, this could have curruppted the files here and there, reuploading them will ensure that everything is good. :)
