use dynamics around existing forum?

I am a little confused as I thought this program wrapped around the existing vb forum and just gave additional options like the extra columns and display modules. Is there a way to keep my existing forum and still use this?

If I click on any Community links, Calendar, New Posts, Quick Links, etc. I get redirected to my forum page, and lose all the cool modules and look from the dynamics page.

Am I missing something? Aren't they supposed to work together? It looks like there is a whole separate forum installed. :confused:

Dynamics is not working together with forums pages the way you describe, and the cool modules will not be shown on your forum pages.

Dynamics is mainly used, if you want to make something extra on your site that are not forums, fx blogs, articles, classifieds.

Download the CMPS to do what you want. You will need to add modules to have it show Dynamics information though.

This is also where I'm confused. We bought Dynamics after reading for weeks about what we needed. We have VB forum installed now and would like the modules on the right side column of the forum. Now it looks like we need CMPS to get those modules. We can run Dynamics and CMPS together I take it?
